What you get: work texts from your employer through ShiftBell — reminders to take your meal and rest breaks, a reminder if you forgot to clock out, and answers to your time-off requests. Owners and supervisors also get alerts about their own team.
How you sign up: the first time you open the ShiftBell time clock, you are asked if you want break reminders by text and you tap “Yes, text me” (or “No thanks”). Your employer can also record that you agreed when they add your cell number. Nobody is texted without agreeing. You get a confirmation text when you sign up.
Summit Ridge Builders uses ShiftBell to text (951) 555-0123 reminders to take your lunch and rest breaks, and if you forget to clock out. Usually 1–4 texts per shift. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help.

Confirmation text: “ShiftBell: You're signed up for work reminders from [Company] (breaks, clock-out). Msg frequency varies by shift. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out.”
How often: it depends on your shifts — usually 1 to 4 messages per shift.
Cost: message and data rates may apply.
